We checked 10 places selling real Christmas trees to Islington homes, from the Highbury pitch to Boma, for prices and dates. Updated November 2026.

There are 10 places selling real Christmas trees to Islington homes in 2026, and this guide puts them in one place with prices, opening dates and the postcodes each one delivers to. Most people will land on one of the three Pines and Needles pitches inside the borough: at the Alwyne Castle in Highbury, in St John’s churchyard on Holloway Road and at the Tufnell Park Tavern.

Islington has no garden centre selling trees, so the list is three pitches in the borough, three pitches just over the line that deliver into Islington postcodes, two garden centres in Camden, and two London delivery firms with no shop to visit.

Prices for a tree of about 6ft

Seller Tree of about 6ft Smallest tree listed
Pines and Needles (online shop) £85 (6ft Premium), £120 (6ft Super Premium) £45 (3ft Premium)
Boma Garden Centre £89.99 (6 to 7ft Nordmann or Fraser) £49.99 (3 to 4ft Nordmann)
Christmas on the Hill (cut, before delivery) £80 (6ft) £56 (4ft)
Christmas on the Hill (rental, before delivery and deposit) £80 (6ft) £30 (2ft)
Creekside Christmas (delivered) £104.99 (6 to 7ft Nordmann) £69.99 (3 to 4ft Nordmann)

Camden Garden Centre does not publish tree prices online. Pines and Needles’ prices are from its online shop; ask at the pitch if the price there differs.

Pop-up pitches in the borough: Pines and Needles

Pines and Needles calls itself a British brand with Scottish roots and runs more than 40 pitches across London and the south of England, selling Nordmann firs it says are grown on its own farms in Scotland, graded Premium or Super Premium. Three of its pitches are inside Islington. All of them keep the same hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 9pm, Saturday and Sunday 8am to 8pm. Staff book delivery for you at the pitch: £52 to drop the tree off, or £75 with installation. Same-day delivery must be booked by 2pm and arrives between 3pm and 10pm.

1. Pines and Needles, Highbury

Its Christmas page says that from the end of November every year it is full of trees “from table top size to five metres tall”: Norway spruce, Nordmann and Noble firs, cut and pot-grown.

Delivery and rental firms

9. Christmas on the Hill (delivery and rental)

Christmas on the Hill sells cut trees or rents living ones. Its rental trees are Norway spruces in pots with roots and soil: it delivers one in December, collects it in January, and takes it back to its farm for the rest of the year.

It trims about half an inch off the base of each cut tree before delivery so it takes up water, and says it is aiming to deliver every tree this year by electric vehicle. Delivery and the rental deposit are shown at checkout, so enter your postcode there.

Price cut tree 4ft £56, 5ft £68, 6ft £80, 7ft £100, 8ft £120, up to 12ft £235; rental 2ft £30, 3ft £45, 4ft £55, 5ft £65, 6ft £80, 7ft £95; delivery and rental deposit extra

How we chose

The list covers the pitches in the borough, the pitches close enough to deliver into Islington postcodes, two garden centres a short trip away, and two firms that deliver across London. Opening dates and delivery postcodes are from each Pines and Needles store page; the pitches have moved their dates before, so check the page before you go. Pines and Needles’ Highgate pitch does not list an Islington postcode for delivery, so we left it out; its Regent’s Park pitch lists N1 among its delivery areas, but the Highbury pitch covers the same postcode. Delivery firms that only publish a generic “Islington” landing page with no prices were left out too.
